Greatness Is Achievable: Why This Book About Autism Belongs in Your Classroom
Share
When I was younger, I didn’t see books with people like me. Maybe you felt the same. Maybe your students do, too.
That’s why I wrote Beyond the Spectrum. To change that.
This isn’t just a book of cool facts or famous people. It’s a collection of true stories about real people with autism who did amazing things. Scientists. Musicians. Artists. Leaders. And they all grew up just like your students. Some quiet, some curious, all different.
For a long time, autism has mostly been talked about in terms of “challenges” or “disorders.” But that’s only part of the story.
What if autism was also a superpower?
What if being different was actually a strength?
In Beyond the Spectrum, we flip the story. We highlight the creativity, strength, and brilliance of people who think differently. When students with autism see someone like them doing something great, something clicks. They start to believe that they can do it, too.
Teachers and parents often ask: “Do you have a book that helps kids understand autism in a positive way?” Or “Is there something I can use to spark real conversations about differences and inclusion?” This book does just that.
Even reading one story out loud can lead to thoughtful questions, deep conversations, or a moment of pride on a child’s face. That’s not just a reading lesson. That’s a connection.
We’re working on special school kits and bundles that includes a copy for every student in the class, a free teacher copy, and an easy-to-use discussion guide. So, you can start building that connection. Start showing kids what’s possible.
If you're a teacher, librarian, or school leader who believes in books that include everyone, sign up to get updates.
Let’s show every child that being different is not a weakness, it’s a gift.
Greatness is not far away. It’s right here.
